You Mean Close Hits?

Interesting idea, although not one I agree with. For example, how would the following miss be handled?

I predict a 3.0 in Santa Clarita. My time and mag are good, but the quake occurs on main street in Disneyland, which means I'm off by, lets say, 100 Km. So I would get a 93.33333333333 rating for that? The 3.0 in Disneyland got the attention of the visitors, but was not even felt at Dennis' house, nor had anything to do with the geology of the Santa Clarita Valley, and in fact, the quake had nothing to do with the prediction in this case.

My point is where is the line drawn?

If the board would like to develop such a system, I would be happy to incorporate it into the status table regardless.
