The Most Important Aspect of EQ Prediction

Howdy,

The most important aspect of earthquake prediction is self honesty. When you miss, be adult enough to say it. Shrink down the areas and time windows. I think the fault structures should be mentioned along with depth and the focal mechanism. This crap about a quake somewhere around China does not cut it. I will continue here in So Cal, but I will get burned on some of these. I'll give the best info I can. Time, magnitude, lat-lon, depth, fault structure (strike) and depth if I can configure that. Bare minimum without having the "null hypothesis" thrown over the whole works. Not easy.
