You know Glen, just getting date, place and magnitude are hard enough without throwing in focal mechanisms and fault structuresl. (I think about how many unknown faults there are in the LA basin alone that only big oil knows about, and I shudder.) I would think you'd want to simplify predictions, not make them even harder to make, since no one seems able to get all three basic parameters with anything but luck, it seems, and nobody gets all three with any regularity.

Canie is out of town this weekend, again, so let's hear what she has to say about it when she comes back. If she likes the idea, I know she can add that info to the prediction layout. But I wouldn't hold your breath.
