my long-suffering paper finally accepted |
After 8 drafts over 2 years, 3 submissions/resubmission to JGR, my paper (Sorlien, Kamerling, Seeber, Broderick) was finally accepted. I still have a lot of work to do..especially with photoshop to turn color figures into B&W for print version. The problem with this paper had been a mix of too long, too much complexity, and my writing problems. I should never do a paper like this: I write better with short papers because I can keep track of them better. This paper involves 3D fault and stratigraphic representations of the Santa Monica-Dume and Malibu Coast faults, and modeling of the average post 4 million year slip on them...related to bends in the faults...
