The Ocean. It is massive and a magnificent heatsink.

Most of the projected climate changes will have minimal impacts on the US west coast as long as the wind direction continues to come from offshore.

This is very likely in California because of the heat from the central valley. The thermal gradient will continue to draw from the ocean. Laws of physics.

Global warming is projecting a warm up of 0 to 15 degrees during our lifetime, with the polar caps gradually raising ocean levels.

Water is eventually going to be the new gold standard. If you live near a large source, then you will probably be in a good spot.

Deserts are going to get hotter. Cool places will be more temperate. Storms are going to be stronger.

Of course all of this can and will be offset somewhat if a volcano has a large eruption.....depending on the size. Then the cooling factor will delay things from "heating up".

Canada is the place to think about.

The west coast is going to be the most climate-stable in this country.

So leave the west coast??? Roger bite your toungue!!!
( altho it is fun to think about, actually having a huge piece of land with money to spare!! [the NEW shangri-La?])

Also interesting, a fire broke out for my cousin in Michigan and the insurance company tried to do the same thing, categorize it as intentional arson to avoid covering the claim. I am beginning to wonder about insurance companies, perhaps they are oversold. My cousin almost freaked out over that, and after a looooooooong drawn out appeal, they were able to get things worked out. I'll ask her to get the name of the company so that I can share it and see if it is the same company. Maybe we can establish an MO.
