Cathryn; Temperature is highly variable with highs near 100 in the summer and 20 below in the winter. But humidity is typically very low. Evaporative coolers work well for that reason. The extremes do not last for extended periods either. Snow, well 2 feet is unusual and will melt in a week. We did have 5 feet here once but that was a drift. I wouldn't live anyplace else. I was born in Kansas and moved to DC so I really didn't know how bad it was until I moved here and dried out a bit.
