b) Glen was talking about monitoring animal metabolism, but you say that you doubt a "signal" will show up.

What kind of "signal" are you talking about and what kind of apparatus are you suggesting will not pick up such a signal?

Since I spend a LOT of time in forests observing animals, and in zoos too, I would be very curious to know what you are talking about, if anything.

For someone who is surprised that trees can shed leaves without wind, you have some strong opinions (or doubts) about observing animals. Why?
