Re: A Predictors Respository

Chris,

In the case of Japan, we would make a poor repository for them right? The same could be said for people who live in California or other west coast states. Most people don't know Earthwaves exists and though we are fairly mild in our responses to some posts, some people don't feel comfortable posting here.

There's a definite difference between lets say a place where one reports matters without public response to those reports, versus this place where one would be subject to a response. And in saying that let me say that I personally would not feel comfortable in sending a prediction to the Pasadena office of the USGS. It seems rather cold and institutional, almost forbidding, because I don't know anyone there. Then there would be the lack of response or perhaps their non-acceptance which would probably bother me as well. However, if this respository were in an independant place, not open to public view, I might be willing to send a note now and then.

I am sometimes in the middle of places, though I'd prefer not to be. I know pockets of scientists here and there and with rare exception to I ever talk to them about my personal prediction method. I don't because I really don't want to deal with their issues. And I do mean it is their issues. I've been there and done that. I don't care for the head back and eyes rolling routine. Or having them look at me like I was from another planet. The good news is that if you talk to them about anything else, they are fine, but if you talk about people hearing ear tones, they spin off into a place that's rather dark.

Though I will have to tell you that when I speak to scientists that are outside of the US and much closer to the middle east or Europe for example, they are all ears. Not only do they want to know, they want to know more and there is no eye rolling with them. They are genuinely curious and they are open-minded, not wishing to accept nor deny. A complimentary skepticism exists.

I'm not sure if you are aware of how many sensory experiences come into awareness prior to a tragic earthquake event for example. Some people get a sense of forboding and they can take that sense and put a place with it. Others may have visions or dream about these events for months to days before they happen and so forth. I understand that element due to past research along those lines; but most western scientists haven't been exposed to it, so they don't really understand what this sensory experience is all about. But people who live in places around the world where sensory experiences are accepted know about them and understand how they work.

So, this place is not suitable as a respository because it is open to comment and it might not be a positive experience for the poster. But in an independant place which can take the information and draw out items which seem as though they point to a given location; this would be a good idea. And it should not be run entirely by scientists; but complemented by others who are not.
