I too think it will happen in next 6 months. If you look at the last 19 years here in the southland, there has definetly been an increase in moderate to large quakes. Its been quiet since the 99 Lavic Lake/Hector Mine deal (give or take a 5 at Big Bear, but wasn't that always seen as normal?) Please don't jump on me if you any of you already know this for sure, but IMO I interpreted the KB prediction as an analysis of sorts of the last 19 years and the fact things seemed to be heating up.

On the flip side, I'm aware of the fact that the past 19 years may have just been a random occurence and Socal could go into another 50-100 year seismic sleep. Looks like that is what is going on in the bay area for the most part...i.e. throughout the 80s there was no denying there was an increase then after 89 Loma Prieta, its been fairly calm.
