Note Of Thanks to John, Roger & the Remainder

I wanted to say Thank You to John and Roger for their contributions to this site as well as some of the other scientists who have made their posts here, which include Roger Musson and Lowell Whiteside to name a couple.

Most of the folks who post here don't have formal educations, but we are no slackers in the learning department and thanks to your special efforts you have expanded our horizons in geo-sciences.

For some, your efforts may never be truly recognized, but you should know the rest of us appreciate your time and especially your patience when we don't understand something the first or second time around. We do try though.

I can remember once asked a noted scientist what the word heterogenesis meant and he refused to tell me. You see, he didn't want me to know because I'd learn something. But that's the way some of them are and its rather humorous to me now, though I thought it offensive at the time. But I have to be honest in saying years ago I really felt there wasn't enough being done about earthquake prediction and years later I realize there is only so much that can be done. I wanted to see scientists out in the field, but that's not really required all of the time. It looks impressive though. LOL

While I have to say my hit - false alarm record in ear tones isn't very good on this board, a lot goes on behind the scenes with my group which is mostly favorable. However, my reading over the years has never given me reason not to hope, but actually I am more hopeful now than ever. It does take time.

Anyway, stick around, contribute...your efforts are appreciated and those outside of here who are avid readers I'm sure enjoy reading as well.

Petra
