In your mind perhaps

John, are you really serious. Considering your background, how can you say these things. It is my understanding that you are a geophysicist. And that means that you are supposed to be an expert in physics. The information at my Web site is about 99.999% physics which I have attempted to present so that it can be understood by a person with a strong background in high school physics. And you are saying that you can’t understand it? Amazing!

In your position I believe that you also have some responsibility for taking the subject of earthquake forecasting seriously. It is a matter of life and death for tens and hundreds of thousands of people. Yet in my opinion you don’t sound like a very serious scientist to me if you are choosing to make those types of comments instead of trying to understand the available material.

Ridicule by people who are supposed to be authorities on some subject can persuade other people to shift their beliefs in one direction or another. But it is no substitute for solid science. And the information at my Web site is solid science regardless of who does or does not understand it.
