Hi Kiddo. On my Aunts ranch there are 4 springs. Two of them flow all year. One flows for about 9 months out of year. By the end of summer it is nothing more then a trickle. The forth spring stops about mid summer.

Almost immediately after the Loma Prieta quake the spring that is used to provide water for the house increased it flow about 6 gallons a minute to almost 10 gallons a minute. It was back to normal flow about a year later. No change was seen before the quake. The ranch is about 5 miles east of Loma Prieta.

There was water flow seen in a small creek in the area just to the north of Mount Madonna. The stream was supposed to have been dry during that time of the year. This was seen about a day before the quake. I have never heard what happened with this water flow after the quake. Take Care…Don in creepy town
