Dave Thomson Study

Chris and all

Here are the latest two posts from Dave Thomson from Pinpoint looking at where these Loyalty Island big quakes may go.

I just did some further research into the locations of 7+ magnitude quakes
following the "big lurch" near the Loyalty Islands. Within a month of the
1980 big lurch there was a magnitude 7.2 near Eureka, CA. Within 6 months
from the 1995 big lurch there was an 8.0 in South America and several 7+
magnitudes in Central America.

There were also 7+ magnitude quakes around the planet during these times,
none of this is unusual of itself. But in both periods following the big
lurch, world wide seismic activity did tend to increase significantly with
quakes of all magnitudes.

I've already seen many other signs for a San Francisco big one this month,
and the big lurch is just one more factor that could contribute to it.
