Hi Don, Your argument is not only correct but also it is true. But, whatever be the reason, our aim is to evacuate the people at the right time either at least a day or couple of minutes before the quake. So we should adopt a suitable way and means for the same in such a way that without making much pain to the people and financial hazards to the Governments. Don's prediction is more accuracy in locating places than mine. (It is possible in my method too, provided opening of more region-wise observatories). At this juncture, I would like to give a suggestionwhich is already published in one of my web page. That is after predicting the quake within a time frame, nobody knows at which time it's going to occur. So no one can sit idle with panic and wait for the entire time frame.
To overcome this, some selected persons/groups are interlinked and ordered to watch anomaly behavior of their pet animals or animals at Zoo around the expected location/s within the time frame and alert the people by sounding local sirens whenever they noticed the strange behavior of their animals. Before sounding sirens, GPS / Satellite data of that particular area also to be compared, if available for accuracy. Accordingly suitable warning may be given through TV / RADIO depending upon the situation. As we knew animals are much sensitive to quakes from our past experience. During Jan.26th 2001 Gujarat quake, a dog was pulling the dress of its boss and evacuated him from the 3rd floor to outside, minutes before the collapse of the building. Welcome any other comments / suggestions for improvement. SHAN 12.1.2003
