Re: 5.6 Quake Rattles Southern Greece

If you check the data table in my 131.html Web page you will see that on November 30 there were two fairly strong warning signals detected which have numbers which match that Greece earthquake to a certain extent. The 7 and 8 numbers match as well as the 14 and 16 numbers. You can also see how the earthquake occurred around the time that sun and moon related gravitational forces were at a maximum point.

I told some people that I was expecting an earthquake but did not make a concerted effort to circulate a warning or post any information here in response to Shan’s note for the following reason:

With a limited amount of free time to work with I can use that time to try to circulate warnings or to advance the technology being used to generate the warnings. And at the moment the technology advance work is being given priority. The next time those warning signals indicate to me that a really catastrophic earthquake could be about to occur I want to have things running sufficiently well that I can quickly generate some location data for it. When that tremendously destructive earthquake occurred in India back in 2001 I was able to warn some of my international contacts to start watching for a major earthquake. But I was not able to provide them with any location information for it in time.

A tremendous amount of time and effort went into developing the computer programs and calculations etc. which are now being used to store those gravity data on my Web page. And I am hoping that I am within a few days of adding another potentially important type of data to that table. If all goes according to plan it will indicate where Solid Earth Tide crests and trough were located when the earthquakes listed in the table occurred. Once again, the amount of time and energy which is having to be invested in that type of technology development is astronomical.

Because there are no computer programs which are specifically designed to generate these types of data I am using ones which were originally intended for other purposes. And it takes my present versions of them about a minute to generate a single gravity data point. Once I added that gravity feature to my Web page I had to go back and generate those data for past earthquakes and warning signals. And at present there are about 2000 of them in my database. What I finally did was get one of my backup computers running. Earthquake and warning signal times were loaded into it. And it sat there and crunched numbers day after day until they were all processed. I will probably have to do that again with those Solid Earth Tide data if that feature does get added to the Web page.
