Some preliminary earthquake data |
Some sun – Earth – moon gravity data have now been added to the table on the lower half of the following Web page: Seismic Activity and Storm Data The new data which would probably be of most interest to people have the code letters “t,” “a,” and “g”. Their values range between a maximum of 9 and a minimum of 1. <>”g” represents changes which take place in the value of the combined gravitational pulls of the sun and the moon on the Earth as they move closer to and farther away from the Earth each month and each year. <>”a” represents the gravity changes which result from the sun and the moon shifting positions in the sky relative to one another during each month. <>”t” represents a combination of both of those values with <>a making the larger contribution to <>”t”. Assuming the data are accurate, the tables on that page provide some idea of what the gravitational pulls of the sun and the moon were on the Earth when some recent earthquakes and some past destructive ones occurred.
