That Newsgroup discussion looks like it has finally (hopefully) come to an end. I cannot recall ever seeing so many comments posted regarding a single thread. At least that has never happened before with one of mine.

I believe that I do actually have a good sense of direction regarding this subject matter. One of the problems here is that the science of forecasting earthquakes has gotten a bad name over the years. And that can interfere with efforts to make progress. However, most of the notes posted during that Newsgroup discussion appeared to be constructive in their tone. And I regard that as a good sign.
