Hi Petra: Nice post. Regarding the USGS report: "Apparently in the late 50's a 5.3 rolled through there, but they say the fault has the ability to deliver up to a 6.4 quake." + What if it ain't "the fault" that's delivering the quake in the first place? How these statements (which are clearly an opinion) are stated as a fact is quite amazing.... +IMHO, a mag. 7+ is a fair game (max) on most any fault in CA. Again thats Just my .02 worth.
