In previous notes posted here I proposed that in order for earthquake forecasting programs and some other lifesaving type programs to get developed it might be necessary to have some type of organization established which would focus on that type of work. On May 1, 2002 I got the process started for the creation of such an organization. And if that effort continues and is eventually successful then the first official version of the organization should be operational some time around June or July of 2002.
