Dear Friends,

There have been some heated debates on the board of late in which I was loosely accused of copyright infringement. As I was going to see my attorney this morning I took the information from the posts and he reviewed them and advised me I am not in violation of the copyright law. Unless I personally remove information from this board and place it elsewhere I will not break the law.

Also, in regard to copyrights of the boards, I was informed that message boards and all of their contents are covered by one single copyright. It is much the same as a book that has many chapters. The copyright does not just apply to the first chapter and not the rest, it applies to the entirety of the book. And in this case, the entirety of the site.

I have very sorry that these matters have taken the turn they have, as it has been extremely upsetting to me, but the law is the law and as the Internet medium grows and changes we all need to know what our personal rights are as individual posters and owners of web sites or other message boards.

Life is very interesting as it unfolds and sends us in new and sometimes unexpected turns. I have always had a keen interest in the law and yet could not see how it would be possible to change fields and do the work I felt would be quite natural for me. Today, I learned I can. So now I need to follow the path that leads me where I think I can do what I truly love in life.

I would like to recommend to everyone who posts on this board or has any presense on the Internet to run a search on yourself through the Google Search Engine. It will keep you apprised as to what information is out there about you and how that may reflect on your personal character. I do it about once a quarter. So far, so good.
