Re: Message Boards & The Law |
I'm sure its open to interpretation - My main intent is to protect the information that is posted here from being copied to other sites without permission. And to protect the posters - the information on this board is not indexed on any search engines unless these messages get copied to another site. I've seen people not registered here (some times even registered users) copy a post from here and post it to another site. I am also trying to protect any ideas that posters put forth here from being taken and posted elsewhere without the poster's permission. In some instances posters have copied messages, including their responses and put them on another site - I have asked that they remove all messages from those sites that were not authored by them as I consider their own words theirs. I have no intention on claiming any of this for myself! For someone to be accused of copyright infringement I would have to initiate the suit. As for Roger's programs - No, I have no rights to them - especially as they aren't even here - and if they were then we would be a 'mirror' site to his program and have no ownership interest what so ever - All these intracacies I'm sure weren't really discussed - My pet pieve is seeing our posts elsewhere. That's why it says its copyrighted.
