Ear tone evaluations

My "Seismic Activity And Storm Data" Web site is running again.

http://www.freewebz.com/eq-forecasting/131.html

I was planning to get some other things done before reactivating it but decided to reestablish it now in part in an effort to store information there regarding data being made available through the new EarTone list:

http://www.earthwaves.org/eartonelist.html

The plan is to add the ear tone data to that list if and when time permits. Data entries would probably have a special code showing that they were from that list. And the "date" information for each one would indicate which ear tone was involved. People could then speculate on which earthquake might be linked with a given ear tone and see how my evaluations compare with the ones which they themselves are making.

There is one ear tone entry there at the moment which is from an earlier post to this bulletin board. If the person who listed that ear tone posts a note here or sends me an e-mail note stating that the entry should remain there then I plan to let it remain. I believe that it might have been an excellent precursor for the destructive December 4 earthquake in Peru. If I do not hear from anyone then I will probably remove that particular entry before too long.

As I said in an earlier note, if people sending ear tone data to that list do not wish to have it evaluated like that then this should probably be discussed and settled before too long. For example, there is a "comments" section in the list. If a person puts a note there stating that his or her data should not get evaluated like that then I plan to ignore that data entry.

As far as privacy is concerned, I believe that those ear tone data and the notes posted to this bulletin board can be seen by just about anyone on Earth who has access to the Internet. And U.S. copyright laws probably do not apply to most people in other countries. So, if you wish to protect your data and theories, then posting them to an Internet Web site might not be the best idea. Additionally, as there are no names attached to the ear tone entries on that list I believe that the copyright for those data as they are shown belongs to Canie. Once someone submits his or her data to the list and they are posted there I suspect that a good part of their normal copyright protection disappears.

Finally,

Canie, everyone posting notes to this bulletin board undoubtedly appreciates the effort you are making to keep it running. And on behalf of many of the posters and site visitors,

"Thanks, and Happy Holidays to you and all of your loved ones."

These are my personal opinions.
