You won't be privvy to the contributions of my ear tone reports in the future. Don and I made a decision that since we plan on using them for an upcoming paper, then for the purpose of research they will remain between the two of us and possibly Lowell Whiteside for his review.

I do not think I can make it anymore clear than to say that I am most of the time relatively certain of the origination point of the tones and thus I don't feel they should be in anyone elses data base for use that is not under my control or direction. We have a markedly different interpretation of the location of future epicenters and in that difference, we have no common ground.

Any future ear tone information related to quakes will be provided by Don in formats with his own forecasts, so they won't be left by the wayside, but the information used to formulate the location will be done behind the scenes rather than publicly.

Though no names are provided through the database, personally I feel those who participate in logging those tones should each be aware that they are being used by someone for whatever reasons that person wishes to use them and it should be done with their permission. It is supposed to be registry, a place to make note of something.

In these matters we will always have a difference of opinion. For some other ear tone sensitives who might have posted, I believe they will retreat as I have chosen, or potential candidates will fail to do so. However, you will do as you feel you must and we who hear them well, we have to make a choice. I'm sorry it has come to this.
