Hi Roger:

I'm aware that way back when (1400's?) there was a philospher who made the argument that for optimal afterlife (pain) risk mitigation (i.e. avoid the flames) you should consider believing in "God" (and a context ...some say "the context")...

If simple extinction is the outcome (when you die) then it is a "don't care" situation whereas in the other case you "avoid hell"....

Just thought you might like to hear this thought if you haven't already run into it....

I forgot the guy's name but he must have an insurance salesman when he was alive....
