Hi Roger,

Well, if it comes free and they don't say you can't do this or that to much, then a hail and hearty thank you seems appropriate.

Don and I discussed this counter issue and as I explained to him, I really don't care about how many arrive at this stage of the game. Guest Books don't do much either. If they want to talk to you about the contents of your site, e-mail is what you want anyway. So neither of these options do I find appealing. I did have a guest book, but never had anyone respond via that medium so I simply deleted it. The other problem with guest books is that the person who writes a message to you doesn't really want to share it with everyone.

But later when the store addition gets added to my site one thing that Don found is a service that monitors your site and lets you know what pages are read the most and counts the visitors for you. That will come in handy then.

But if you want to increase the volume of visitors to your site, the first thing you'll need to do is to get a forwarding service. IE, your domain name Roger Hunter can be run as a primary search and the forwarding service links it to your Tripod site. Net Solutions can do this for you at an extremely minimal charge per year. Its the call forwarding of the Internet.

The way I see it, the door is wide open to securing many visitors to one's site. Its called Marketing and Networking. Then the question becomes, "how many do you want?"
