I know what Penny meant, but I don't use the word "amateurs" in a negative way: there have been a lot of good posts by amateurs over the years, and they can be well-informed, and I can learn from their posts.

What Penny meant I'm sure is those doing short-term predicitions who seem to have no idea of whether there is any significance to what they do.
