'EQF', are you aware of spontaneous otoacoustic emissions? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Otoacoustic_emission One of the major problems I see with alleged eartones is that no one has or seems willing to eliminate this well known biological phenomena before concluding that what they hear are harbingers of quakes. I hear ear tones... high freqs... low freqs... short... long... I can usually stop them at will by yawning widely to equalize the pressure in my ears. Sometimes yawning actually causes them for the same reason. I also have sensitive ears, although that's waning over the years. I can hear the 15.75khz flyback transformer in old CRT TV's. Standing in front of the Wall-Of-TV's at electronics stores was actually painful. I used to be able to hear the 'ultrasonic' sensors on early automatic doors. I'm often asking, "do you hear that?" to which I get "hear what?". Most often it's some buzzing or whining from some electronic or mechanical device nearby. As long as I know what the source is, it doesn't bother me. I do my best mental work late at night when the world has slowed and all the background noises are gone.
