I have had tinnitus since I was about 16. This has made me skeptical of ear tones, especially since in years past I heard a huge variety of reports about what differing tones might mean. None of these reports seemed to correlate with seismic activity. I still have excellent hearing (sometimes this is not a good thing in this noisy world!). Since moving to Mt. Shasta, I hear clicks in my ears, but I suspect this is a result of aging more than living on the slopes of a volcano!
