Earthquake Warning – September 11, 2011 |
Earthquake Warning – Posted by EQF on September 11, 2011 The strongest EM Signal detected in perhaps a year was detected at the following time. 2011/09/11 15:08:00 UTC That signal is quite similar to other ones that were detected at: 2011/09/06 12:00:00 UTC These signals could be indicators that highly significant seismic activity is approaching for some location around the globe. Those three signals can be seen on the chart below. It is the latest version of my Data.html Web page chart. Strong line peaks can be seen on the signal lines around 65 W. And because of the way that my computer programs work that means that locations 90 and 180 degrees to the east and west, 155 W, 25 W, and 115 W could also be important locations. There are two Location Determination problems here: First, for several possible reasons, my computer programs don’t always point to the right location where an expected earthquake is going to occur. Second, some of the strongest and clearest EM Signals appear to be associated with volcanic activity rather than approaching earthquakes. And that 155 W location is also the longitude of one or more volcanoes that have had some recent activity. For example, Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano is reportedly showing some activity at this time and has an Orange Alert status.
There is also a Time Window Determination problem with some of these signals. For example, it is been more than a month since that August 9 signal was detected. And the expected earthquake has still probably not occurred. EARTHQUAKE WARNING DETAILS What these Earthquake Warnings and Advisories such as this one are essentially intended to do is let other earthquake forecasters around the world know when strong EM Signals that could be associated with approaching significant seismic activity are being detected. And at those times they should check their local earthquake precursor data to see if there is anything suspicious looking. If I can detect a strong signal on the opposite side of the planet from where the earthquake is going to occur then near the actual fault zone there should be some easily observed earthquake precursors at the EM Signal time. My charts provide some higher probability location data for where the forecasters might want to check first. NEW EARTHQUAKE RESEARCH WEB SITE Finally, a new Earthquake Research Web site is being created. Internet Server personnel received the necessary paperwork yesterday. And the new site should be operational some time this coming week. It is intended for use by serious earthquake researchers and forecasters around the world. Site users won’t necessarily need to have scientific degrees. I would expect that when the site is running there will be an announcement about it on the International Society of Earthquake Precursors Web page http://www.isfep.com These are personal opinions.
