2+ M6s/week expected |
Hi Roger, as you likely know there are probably over 100 M6s/year, so 2 in a week would be normal. It may be more than 2 a week. So, there would have to be 4 or 5 in a week before a M8 to start to be interesting, or maybe a 2 or 3 in the day or 2 before a M8. I looked at the USGS site for numbers of M6 quakes and failed to find this list, but did find the link on earthquake prediction. It says that earthquake prediction (meaning, short term) may one day be possible but is not today. worth a read by anyone who thinks they are predicting quakes.
