If you want to say that the 116W peak indicated an oncoming quake then you must explain why the other equally impressive peaks didn't indicate one.

Remember, peaks can happen in only a limited number of places and quakes are similarly limited and once in awhile the two are bound to coincide purely by chance.

It's your job to show that something more than chance is involved.
