I wrote the previous posting last night. Now this morning I read that China has about 70 dams close to bursting. In Southern California in 1971, we only had to worry about one dam flooding the San Fernando Valley.

My heart goes out to the Chinese people who have already lost so much in terms of lives and homes and are now facing more monumental disaster.
