John, a distinction. 99% of climate scientists, probably 99% of AGU members, agree that earth is warming, and that it is caused by increasing levels of CO2. But, some large percentage of professional geologists do not believe it. I had dinner with a group of professional geologists a year and a half ago and not a single one believed man affected climate, and one disputed that we are even warming. Because 2007-2008 winter was coolest since 2001 (or something like that) on earth, now the skeptics are out there trying to say there is no problem.

This was a climate conference held in New York March 2008, funded in part by front organizations for ExxonMobil (its very simple to prove this, you jsut cross-compare ExxonMobils contribution list to the web sites of the recipients). The speakers were paid.
