You obviously read (or should) "Volcano Cowboys." One of the best books on geologists I've ever read. "Fire Mountain" is a well written, fun book to read and for anybody on the board who isn't technical, it explains things well.

My dream was to be a member of the survey...but began too late and couldn't get there. Those guys are phenomenal--and I hope that SOMEBODY keeps fighting to fund them.
