Re: Japanese appliance predicts earthquakes |
Yer, right, Brian. It does say that. But that's the second part of the article which is confusing (along with the sentence that didn't parse), since it is apparent the device itself isn't doing the detecting. Reuters' journalistic standards seem to have fallen along with those of the rest of the media. Leave it Barbara to go all controversial on us! *g* MW Follow Ups: ● Re: Japanese appliance predicts earthquakes - Skywise 13:09:19 - 6/29/2007 (72072) (1) ● Re: Japanese appliance predicts earthquakes - Barbara 14:24:26 - 6/30/2007 (72079) (1) ● instrumentation is expensive and non-profit - John Vidale 07:45:05 - 7/1/2007 (72081) (1) ● Istanbul has warning system - heartland chris 08:47:42 - 7/1/2007 (72082) (1) ● no California warning system yet - John Vidale 09:53:29 - 7/1/2007 (72084) (0) |
