Well, I retired as a top of grade GS-12 so my retirement is lower. A double dipper is usually one retired from both military and civil service. If I went back to civil service my retirement would stop even though I was in a different job or agency. Ok if the new job pays enough of course. but government jobs are scarce too because of budget cuts.
