Missouri River flood |
Some flood information from www.nws.noaa.gov. At Kansas City the Missouri River is forecast to rise 20 feet. Downstream, below Rocheport where I was biking yesterday, it was already pretty high. And, I don't know if the flood forecast includes the very heavy rain that is now occuring in east Kansas/west Missouri. Jane...good luck with all of that. I was wondering how the winter wheat handles hard freezes...after driving across Kansas and east Colorado in late March, with the fields all green...kind of figured April freezes on the high plains of west Kansas must not be too unusual (?). It went from 84 deg F to 19 deg in a couple of days here in Columbia MO in early April...killed the flowers on trees and leaves on some trees...
