EQF; The easiest way to deal with that is to let the main program create the data and write it to a file. Then use a separate program to read the file and display the results. Once you're satisfied with the display the two programs can be merged. TB would be my program of choice until you said "free". That narrows the field a bit. I'd suggest either Euphoria or XBasic. Skywisew can tell you all about Xbasic, which is free, multi-platform and VERY fast.
