I made it! |
Hi All, Thanks to Don in Hollister I made it through my MRI today and don't remember any of it. My last memory of the morning was arriving at the hospital and from thereon out very little until around nine O'clock tonight. Don said I growled at him often when he came in to make me drink water, but drink it I did. He said he fixed me some eggs and I ate them at some point. Although I did eat this wonderful dish he mades thats like spaghetti with egg shell noodles and remembered it well. One more week and I can meet with the neurosurgeon and hopefully know the extent of my injury. Though today many express fears of meeting people they have contact with through message boards, for me its been nothing but wonderful. The woman Don and I gave a tour to last week is from Chicago. She's delightful. So far, I think I've met 15 people from different boards and I feel so very fortunate to have the pleasure of their company. Don from Hollister is one of the nicest people anyone could ever hope to meet. There couldn't possibly be anything I could ever say or do to say Thank You enough for the millions of things he's done with my inability to do them myself. When the day comes that I can be more mobile than I am now, we have much work ahead in working toward earthquake safety education. Though you might think there's enough education out there today, we both know so much more needs to be done. While earthquake prediction will always hold us in eagerness to see if this will be part of something we will see in our lifetimes, we want to make a huge push for safety. Earthquake message board people as I've come to know hold the light of hope in a place that could be dark and foreboding. Thanks for sharing it. May the road ahead to short, easier to walk and well lit......Petra Follow Ups: ● Re: I made it! - Canie 09:54:07 - 1/20/2001 (4690) (1) ● Re: I made it! - Don in Hollister 00:15:45 - 1/21/2001 (4694) (2) ● Re: I made it! - Antonio Romino 02:42:23 - 1/23/2001 (4710) (1) ● Re: I made it! - Don in Hollister 10:41:38 - 1/23/2001 (4719) (0) ● Talk about anxiety - Bob Shannon 05:30:37 - 1/22/2001 (4702) (0) |
