While some places around the rim of fire have had earthquakes which generated tsunami actual damage in California, Oregon and Washington has been minimal with the exception of the 1964 Alaskan quake which caused 108 deaths in Crecent City and 10 more elsewhere. Did you look at the sea level changes for most of the tsunami that reached the west coast. Some of them were a <.05 and no human would have noticed it, only sensitive equipment would have registered it and maybe not even that. It could just be an estimate.

What Robertson is talking about is the big tsunami expected for the Pacific Northwest. It's not going to be any piddly little thing, but monumental.

I think this is one of those cases where the person is so controversial that no matter what he says, some people are just going to refuse to give him credit for what he's talking about. That's not really fair. You have to set the personality aside and understand he's making a prediction, plain and simple and if he's wrong he's going to pay a high price for it too. If someone said that God told him and the event never materializes the faithful won't be so faithful anymore. It could be the end of his life in the ministry. He has to be very serious to be willing to gamble with that.

It's a little to close to how people treat Jim Berkland too. He has made some site specific predictions which were valid, but no one wants to give him credit for them. They just want to pick away at his Seismic Windows. He too is controversial and a very good person, but few want to know that about him either.

It sounds prejudicial to me. But to each their own. I would like to hope the earthquake and tsunami won't happen because I know how horrible it would be, but the other side of me wants him to get it because of all the flack he's going to take between now and when and if it happens. He'll be crucified no matter what happens.
