I've noticed that when the Geysers go off, Mammoth follows shortly. I think looking for patterns is what it's all about. Dennis, re: adjoining faults, perhaps that was a poor choice of words. I was referring to faults in the near vicinity including those that are branches off the fault that had the earthquake. Neither of the two examples you gave were within the two year time frame I was discussing. The peninsula section of the SAF and the Hayward Fault are good examples. Also the Big Bear earthquake within hours of Landers would be an example of what I'm referring to. Thanks for calling to my attention the need to clarify.
