Hello All, Bob Shannon made an interesting post yesterday and it got my wheels turning. So I had this thought and I think perhaps I'll throw this out there and see what everyone who might wish to respond might wish to contribute. This list of precursors are happening in the San Francisco Bay Area, but the site is difficult to discern, so if one were to issue a possible earthquake forecast or prediction, where would the potential earthquake arrive? 1. Its a full moon and the highest tides in two years are happening. 2. A whale has come into the Bay and seems to be lost. 3. The Calistoga Geyser has been off of its normal schedule for 48 hours. 4. The Berkeley Tilt meter is showing an unusual rise. 5. The lost animal count is at an all time high in Oakland. 6. Many people have been reporting headaches for more than a week. 7. The stress has been building on the Hayward, San Andreas southern section and the San Gregario Fault. 8. Several earthquake sensitives reported having very large and long ear tones that point in the direction of these three faults. 9. A water main near the UC Berkeley campus broke sending vast volumes of water into the streets nearby. 10. A solar flare of unusual proportions left the Sun two days ago and is headed for the Bay Area. 11. Someone reported a horse in the Oakland hills went crazy and ran over two people, when he was normally a gentle animal. 12. The weather is unusually warm and humid. A. So where is the where? B. How large would the magnitude of the earthquake be. C. When would the potential earthquake arrive? D. Of the above listed precursors, what else would you look for in making this final determination?
