Ara,
Thanks for your detailed posting. You referred that the location is already occurred with 7+ last year and swarm is continuing, so that the present one is the aftershock. In this concept, I would like to ask the following i.e. 1) How long the aftershock continues after a main shock. Interestingly, no one could give prediction over Japan area, since it is simply fell on aftershock concept. Except few, most of the quakes in the world occurred where the location which was already experienced quakes in the past. (I doubt, this may be the reason for very few postings in the Board for prediction purpose.) 2) In other words, when a fresh quake which exceeds the magnitude a little bit of earlier quake over the same location whether it is called as main shock? So where is the aftershock concept begins and ends? Anybody could tell the right devastation and causality with the main and aftershock after a year or so? But in my opinion, rather than analysing and wasting the time to find out whether it is main or after shock it is better to inform whenever I receives a good precursor over the place. Another important factor of my prediction which is having tolerance level of +/- 3 degree in location and +/- 1M magnitude may fall on fresh location and if the magnitude touches the higher side, the situation becomes worse. Hence my postings. I hereby disclose a secret that what I have received the type of precursor for 5th Sept. 2004 and the recent one is more or less the same, which means that the results separated by 786 KMs. Probably you may advice me to analyse the same, but it has got some limitation to analyse further. Shan
