Hi Chris. Is the motion really faster then once thought, or has it recently increased because there is less friction, contact, or whatever you want to call it? I have no idea as to why it would increase with the exception that the motion at the “Big Bend” has caused enough of gap to occur that it is freeing up the plates. However I would have thought that we would see more quakes in the area of the “Big Bend” as opposed to other locations. Just a thought.
