Life On The RCF |
Hi All, Well, I'm finally up and running on top of the RCF in Santa Rosa, though it was no easy move. Our Northern CA Jan from this board, daughter and son worked hard all day on Saturday and did an amazing job putting my entire kitchen together, not to mention cleaning it to a bright and shiny place at the same time. Don in Hollister lent a helping hand as well trying to get me out of the other place, trying to fix my stove which had a horrendous gas leak, locks on doors and a hundred and one other things. Thanks to all of you. Then there was my daughters teen age task force who were wonderful as well. There was plenty of energy and they made moving take on a whole new experience. I'm now ready and awaiting the first moving shaker. My bed has wheels and sits on a hardwood floor and moves very easily and that should add an entire new element of fun to the experience. I can't wait. I can go bed surfing during the night. And I know Canie will be glad to hear we have two wonderful small cats that frequent the backyard and greet me every morning with happy faces. Both are black and white and my cat is practicing tolerance. He's at least twice their size and a bit of a bully to boot. But he's free now to be outdoors and do his cat thing. He's happy. I've informed all of my neighbors about the Water Heater law and spoke to them about earthquake safety. They are all very friendly and don't seem to want to run when they see me. Of course, I've also shared stories with them when showing them my rock collection. Later we are expecting a young couple who do seem to have some interest in geology so it should be an interesting evening. This new place seems to attract people. I like that.
