The effect that I oberved at Warner Avenue was that the water level would rise and the ground would seem compressed before local and regional earthquakes. Springs would also show as actively bubbling up. Gary and I correllated this with offsets in our parking garage up the street.

By local I mean local to the Newport Beach/Huntington Beach/Seal Beach/LongBeach area and by regional quakes I mean the 4-pointer in Hollywood a few years ago and the 3 pointers in the Compton area, interestingly enough the 4 pointer near Fillmore also was preceded by activity at the pond.
