Hi All. Jan. 7th will be Petra’s birthday. She will be 39 again. I asked her how long she has been 39 and she said, “It’s been so long that I can’t remember anymore.” She said she can’t remember the year, but thinks it was 19 something.

She’s really a very pretty lady. She stands about 5’6” when sitting down. Her ears are like shells. Clamshells. I swear that if she stood facing the wind she could fly.

Speaking of flying I gave up on hiding her brooms. She just goes out and buys a new one. It’s always an improved model. The one she has now will accelerate from 0 to 60 in 3 seconds and can turn on a dime. I still haven’t figured out how she is able to stay on the darn thing given the way it turns and the acceleration it has. She rides sidesaddle you know. She’s a true lady.

She has the prettiest green eyes, all 3 of them, although they do turn blue sometimes. Red to, Can’t be sure though if that is from being angry, or the all night binge. I love the way she looks at people. The right eye will rotate clockwise and the left one counterclockwise, while the one in the middle of her forehead will stare straight ahead. Sometimes it will extend out like a telescope. She does that to get a closer look.

I love the way her hair, which by the way is like silk, corn silk that is, trails behind her when she has her head stuck out the window. Not sure is she’s barking at the cars as we go by, or what.

I still haven’t been able to figure if she is accident prone, or just does dumb things. While putting some fingernails on she accidentally glued her fingers together. Then there was the time she sprayed room deodorant on herself thinking it was a body deodorant. Then there was the time she used some oil that would make you look like you had a suntan. She didn’t wipe her hands off and they looked like they had a tan.

The most recent accident or dumb thing to do involved a gas grill. She was trying to light it. For some reason it wouldn’t light with the built in lighter so she used a match. Darn near blew the lid off the thing. I don’t think it burned her, but her eyebrows did look a little shorter. I’m not sure what happened to the pants she was wearing. She went into the house for something and when she came out she was wearing different pants. She had one other problem with it. She was cooking some hamburgers, or was it chickens. Not sure which it was now when the grease caught fire and was dripping on the ground. It seems she didn’t elevate the end so the grease would flow down to the grease catcher. I now have the grill and it works like a champ. Must be a man thing.

I know you have seen me say this before, but Petra is a weird lady. She actually enjoys earthquakes. She really enjoys feeling them. She’s had me drive her down to Parkfield just on the chance she could feel a quake. She did feel the one we had near Cloverdale, but it wasn’t big enough for her.

Oh yea. One more thing. HAPPY BIRTHDAY PETRA. You may be a weird lady, but I’m proud to call you my friend. Take Care…Cowboy
