3.4 2003/05/26 14:15:29 37.769N 122.577W 9.0 12 km ( 8 mi) NW of Daly City, CA

I caught this Daly City quake on Mori and boy was it impressive. At first half of the screen was filled with bands going top to bottom and then the jagged bits started up. I knew it was local because the of the part of the screen it was displaying on, so I sort of waited to see if I was going to feel it here, but it didn't happen.

Curiously the solar flares started up again today, though none of them were over Halmhera, Indonesia when they occured. However, I think having such an increase in 3's and 4's in the Bay Area is significant and we have to wonder now if there will be any FFA triggering from the Indonesia quake. I doubt we'll see anything from the Japan quake as the bands will be going in the wrong direction.

It could be possible the Daly City quake was triggered by Halmahera as it occurred two hours after the Halmahera quake.

So when our Canie has time, I hope she will post two FFA maps for our review.

I wonder what's coming next?
