Well EQF,

I have a map to and an exact mathmatical calculation for ear tones. If the quake doesn't show up within 40 miles, its not a hit. From what I've seen of your work, it doesn't appear you have it down to 40 mile radius yet. I don't have to draw any lines, I just look at the map and I can find the location within seconds. Its very nice and extremely easy.

But ear tones are not perfect for several reasons as follows:

1. Electrical signals that are produced by breaking rocks can signal rocks breaking without a resulting earthquake.

2. One must use their own experience to determine the magnitude and the window is never more than 10 days.

3. People sleep and they travel and it is during those times when you can miss hearing ear tones. On average that means that the subject most likely will miss 9 hours a day of ear tone availability. That is a lot of hours.

But on the upswing of things I don't see much by instrumentation that indicates a quakes approaching which is as finite as an ear tone. Yesterday I checked all the data sources on the net to see if I could find anything that indicated the 4.2 at the Geysers might occur. I only found one thing and that was Earthquake Trackers Santa Rosa site had some unusual activity, but was not marked as red.

Frankly, I thought with your new Sun/Moon/Tide program you were out of the ear tone business. But it appears you are not so I have to wonder how in the world you are going to explain ear tones to scientists who don't believe they happen? I've only encounted three that know of their existence and believe they do occur, but have had poor results in the subjects they have studied.

I think if you are going to use ear tones in your research you need to get back to the drawing board because you've missed a few steps in the process. And if you want to make any headway with your Sun/Moon/Tide thing, you better tick a lock on mentioning ear tones because the door will slam so hard in your face, you won't have any doubt about the lack of interest.
