Earthquakes and the Solid Earth Tide - research paper

My data have been indicating to me for years that there must be some type of link between the positions of the sun and the moon in the sky and earthquakes. And I also felt that if I kept asking enough questions about this then sooner or later, something would surface. And I believe that it finally has. This is a paper written by a Japan research group regarding a link between earthquakes and the Solid Earth Tide if I understand what they are saying correctly. Part of the significance of this paper is the fact it appears to me that quite often, the claim is made that there is no evidence that any links exist between the sun and the moon positions or the tides, and earthquakes. I myself am not a geophysicist. But it does look to me like this research provides a certain amount of proof that such relationships do exist.

Note: I myself am presently looking at sun and moon gravity – earthquake links with a little different perspective than what I believe is being discussed in this paper.
